New Trier Considers School Upgrade Options

The New Trier School Board has been examining facilities planning issues at both the Winnetka and Northfield campuses.  They are considering several options ranging from tearing down the Winnetka campus building and building a new building to major remoldeling or renovations.

New Trier High School Superintendent Linda Yonke will give a guided tour through the Winnetka Campus on August 27, 2008 at 6:00 pm (Room 301) and will discuss the facilities challenges at both the Winnetka and Northfield campuses. For more information on this issue and upcoming meetings, visit the New Trier Facilities Planning website.

Additional information on the New Trier facilities planning issues can also be found on a citizen website, NewTrierChoices.org , which is dedicated to the subject and a third, makeitbetter.net, currently contains an article and active discussion on this issue. Visit all the sites to become fully informed.
